Chef Rocco DiSpirito

Rocco DiSpirito is an iconic Italian-American New York City chef and James Beard Award-winning author of fourteen cookbooks, including three New York Times bestsellers. Trained at the Culinary Institute of America and in France, he rose to prominence with his acclaimed restaurant Union Pacific, a New York City culinary landmark that earned three stars from The New York Times. He later starred in the hit series The Restaurant, helping define the modern celebrity chef. Named one of Food & Wine’s “Best New Chefs” and Gourmet’s “America’s Most Exciting Young Chef,” Rocco continues to shape the dining scene through his restaurants, media appearances, and culinary innovation.

Our Philosophy

At Bar Rocco, refinement and approachability go hand in hand. The home-style Italian menu is guided by the seasons, inspired by the greenmarket, and shaped by Chef Rocco DiSpirito’s modern take on Italian American cooking.
